Girl House Art Project
Kesa Kivel, Volunteer Project Leader, offered a broad-based feminist curriculum in an interactive format to a small group of middle school girls as part of the YWCA Santa Monica / Westside’s community service programming. The girls transformed an on-site house into the bedroom of a girl who is being sexually harassed, artistically rendering this girl’s worries as well as the potential consequences to her of the harassment.  To read about project implementation and outcomes, click on the links below:
